DigTek is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS app Photo Flashbacks.
Photo Flashbacks is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or usage data.
What We Don't Collect
- Personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind
- Your photos, RAW files, or any image data
- EXIF metadata or date information from your photos
- Device information or technical specifications
- File paths, folder structures, or filenames
How Your Data Stays Private
- Everything is local: All scanning, indexing, and display happens on your Mac
- No internet required: Photo Flashbacks works completely offline
- Read-only access: The app only reads your photos — it never modifies, moves, or deletes them
- No third-party services: No analytics, advertising, or tracking services
- No account creation: No sign-ups, logins, or user accounts
- No data transmission: Nothing leaves your Mac
What Stays on Your Mac
Photo Flashbacks reads and stores the following, all locally on your disk:
- A local index of photo dates and file paths for the folders you select, stored in Application Support
- Security-scoped bookmarks for folders you grant access to
- App preferences and window state
This data never leaves your Mac. We have no access to it.
Apple and the App Store
Photo Flashbacks is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may collect information related to your download according to Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive anonymized, aggregate download data from Apple — we cannot identify individual users.

If you contact us by email at developer@digtek.app, we will receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add it to any mailing list or share it with third parties.
Children's Privacy
Photo Flashbacks is suitable for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for users under 13.
