DigTek is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our macOS app Photo Archive Lite.
Photo Archive Lite is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or usage data.
What We Don't Collect
- Personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind
- Your photos, RAW files, or any image data
- Your ratings, keywords, pick/reject decisions, or browsing history
- XMP sidecar file contents or metadata
- EXIF data from your photos
- Device information or technical specifications
- File paths, folder structures, or filenames
How Your Data Stays Private
- Everything is local: All processing happens on your Mac
- No internet required: Photo Archive Lite works completely offline
- No third-party services: No analytics, advertising, or tracking services
- No account creation: No sign-ups, logins, or user accounts
- No data transmission: Nothing leaves your Mac unless you explicitly export or share it
- Sandboxed: Photo Archive Lite can only access folders you explicitly open — nothing else on your system
What Stays on Your Mac
Photo Archive Lite reads and writes the following, all stored locally on your disk:
- Photos and RAW files you open for browsing
- XMP sidecar files containing your ratings, keywords, and pick/reject status, stored alongside your photos in open, industry-standard format
- A thumbnail cache and EXIF metadata cache in your system's standard cache directory, for faster browsing
- Exported images (JPEG) you choose to save
- App preferences and window state
This data never leaves your Mac. We have no access to it.
Apple and the App Store
Photo Archive Lite is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple may collect information related to your purchase and download according to Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive anonymized, aggregate sales data from Apple — we cannot identify individual purchasers.

If you contact us by email at developer@digtek.app, we will receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add it to any mailing list or share it with third parties.
Children's Privacy
Photo Archive Lite is suitable for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for users under 13.

Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how we handle data (which is unlikely given our no-data approach), we will update this policy and notify users through the App Store.
