DigTek is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS app DayRater.
DayRater is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, daily ratings, reflections, or usage data.
What We Don't Collect
- Your daily ratings or reflection text
- Personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details
- Usage analytics or tracking of how you use the app
- Device information or technical specifications
- Location data or access to your location
- Your rating patterns, streaks, or insights
- App usage frequency or session duration
- Exported data or sharing activity
How Your Reflections Stay Private
- Local storage only: All ratings and reflections are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework
- No internet required: DayRater works completely offline
- No third-party services: We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking services
- No account creation: No sign-ups, logins, or user accounts
- Complete user control: Export or delete your data anytime
Data Export and Sharing
DayRater includes export functionality that lets you create beautiful narrative stories, complete data backups, or analysis-ready CSV files from your reflections.
- When you export data, it's shared using Apple's standard share sheet
- You control where your exported reflections are sent (Messages, Mail, Files, etc.)
- We never see or access your exported content
- The sharing happens directly between your device and your chosen destination
Haptic Feedback and Settings
DayRater uses Core Haptics to provide premium tactile feedback when using the vertical slider:
- All haptic feedback happens entirely on your device
- No data about your haptic interactions is collected or transmitted
- Settings preferences are stored locally using Apple's UserDefaults system
- Haptic feedback can be disabled in the app settings
iCloud and Device Backups
If you have iCloud backup enabled, your app data (ratings and reflections) may be included in your personal iCloud backup. This is managed entirely by Apple according to their privacy practices, not ours.
Your DayRater data in iCloud backups remains private and is only accessible to you through your Apple ID.
Third-Party Services
DayRater uses only Apple's built-in frameworks:
- SwiftData: For local data storage of your ratings and reflections
- Core Haptics: For premium tactile feedback during slider interactions
- SwiftUI: For the user interface and animations
These are Apple's own services and follow Apple's privacy practices. No data leaves your device through these frameworks.
Children's Privacy
DayRater is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Since we collect no data whatsoever, there are no special privacy considerations for children using the app.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to provide access to, correct, delete, or transfer to other services. Your privacy is already completely protected by design.
Your data belongs to you: You can export your reflections anytime in multiple formats, or delete all data through the Settings page.
Our Philosophy
DayRater follows the principle of "constraint as liberation" — this extends to your privacy. By constraining ourselves from collecting any data, we liberate you from privacy concerns entirely.

Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how we handle data (which is unlikely given our no-data approach), we will update this policy and notify users through the App Store.
Any changes will maintain our commitment to privacy-first design and local-only data storage.
